We are looking for an Azure Data and Analytics Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate has a data and analytics background, especially as it relates to data engineering in Azure. Additionally, this person has experience with modern data platform technologies like Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Warehouse and / or Azure Data Factory.
Experience building end-to-end solutions, from data integration to modeling, is a plus.
Day-to-day responsibilities would include:
- Working with a team to architect, develop, and deliver cloud data and analytics solutions for enterprise clients
- Interacting with clients to discuss best practices and strategy for big data and analytics
- Building data models and reports for business users
- Configuring and operationalizing infrastructure in Azure
- Staying up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices regarding Microsoft's modern data platform
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering and modeling
- Ability to speak to the Microsoft's cloud data strategy and roadmap
- Experience with the following:
- Data Warehousing
- Data ETL (Extract / Transform / Load)
- Data Modeling & Power BI
- Azure or Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services
- Azure Data Factory
- SQL
- PowerShell
- Familiarity with database server administration and performance tuning
- .NET development experience
- Ability to travel 20% to 60% for client projects – domestically and / or internationally
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, as well as a drug screen
